The park was beautiful with all of the old oak trees and cedar trees. We stayed in the full hookup section which was nice. It’s right off of Hwy 6 so you get the road noise, but we got used to it. Super convenient to EVERYTHING! I had cataract surgery that week, and it was only 5-10 mins to doctors office and surgical center. We would definitely stay here again !

Our first time staying at a Corp of Engineers campground, and we were impressed. The sites here are very spacious, and our specific site was fairly level. There was a table, fire ring and small grill, plus some sites have a cover over the table. The restrooms were clean and there is a playground for the kids. The employees with whom we interacted were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back here.

Very underrated spot. We loved it, our kids enjoyed the area, and it's conveniently located to Waco. Wonderful stay, we will be back.

We were encouraged to collect firewood from their brush piles. Great for saving money. The lots some had covered tables some were being repaired. Our site was 1/2 inch off side to side. About 3 inches front to back. So mostly level. Restrooms were clean. Traveling to POI was not difficult.
