The park has so much potential to be great; however, it’s extremely run down and over grown. The trees need to be trimmed for large RV’s to navigate through the park without scratching, the grass is so tall and over grown around almost all of the spaces. We enjoyed how quiet it was and easily accessible, but the gate closing at 10pm makes things difficult for those staying in town for HEART O TEXAS.

We love Midway. Very quiet and lots of trees with shade. They have a few spots that include sewer. Not far from home and sometimes I will at the last minute say let’s go camping and am able to get a spot. Happy camping .

We were there late September and were able to get a site right on the lake. It was very clean and easy to back into the large area. We had a wonderful view of the sunsets. The only downside was the mosquitos but that's anywhere in Texas. We'd love to go back!

We had spot 28 which is the corner spot and a pull thru next to the entrance, it’s a 50amp which worked out great for our 32’ coach, it also had the sewer dump at the same hook up which was great, the spots are real close together but the view of the lake was ok and its walking distance for fishing, we didn’t like the noise from the highway 6 traffic which made it difficult to watch tv outside or have conversations because at times it would be to loud. It is convenient for anything you want to see in Waco. We would stay again.

The grounds are not well maintained. There is also a barricade so you can not come and go after 10pm which greatly effected our plans for a football game. Will not be staying there again.

Perfect weather, only issue we're squirrels dropping pecans all over our camper, and camp sites. Perhaps animal management in store.
