The bathrooms aren’t cleaned well. No toilet. Bathroom roof leaks when it rains. Some of the picnic tables didn’t have covers. Can’t leave or come back after ten pm. They should issue access card system to get in an out of property after 10pm.
Can’t swim at water edge. Don’t waste your time or money. Airport beach has a nice cove to swim in with warm water.
The positive about midway is that they have a lot of firefly’s at night above boat ramp.

This is a nice place with beautiful sunsets. The sites are fairly level and the location is great for getting into town. Enjoyed the mostly peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The only downside is the occasional firing off of the Raptor rocket engines at the nearby facility and testing center. Rather impressive amounts of power demonstrated but can be a little disconcerting. Only once or twice a day lasting a few minutes so not terrible. Overall good time here.

Get a lakeside site if possible. You will see hours of entertaining ducks, geese and waterfowl. Serene campground.

A nice park. Lots of trees/shade. Easily accessible from I-35. A small row of full hookup pull through sites.

This is a beautiful park. The lake is very nice with a public boat ramp. Pecan trees are a great shade in the summer. Only 50 amp sites are on top of the hill. Wish there were more 50 amp full hook ups as it stays full. Only down side is the trees seem to always need trimming and they scape the top of the rv’s coming and going out of the sites. It’s a very clean park and lock the gate at 10 pm so no in and out traffic.

On our way to Pennsylvania so only stayed one night but have stayed many times.
Happy to see the water levels were up from 2 years ago. Last time we stayed, shoreline was exposed with excessive amount of trash. Missed opportunity for park to clean up debris. I personally picked up several trash bags full because I love this park.
Sites are clean. We had nice view of lake.

Place is not very well kept up. Leaves and sticks/limbs everywhere. Multiple fire ant mounds in the area around the picnic table. It's just a shame that the campgrounds around Lake Waco are in such poor condition. Over half of the available sites are no longer open and things are either abandoned or in a state of disrepair.
