Cougar Rock Campground offers spacious, clean sites with good privacy and easy access to Mount Rainier trails, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. The bathrooms are well-maintained, although some reviewers noted a lack of warm water and soap. Challenges include difficult campsite reservations and occasional issues with nearby campers, but the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

I loved everything but the neighbor's rooster. Not much i could do about it, Big spots, hiking trail right there, easy access to Rainier. I will be back, thank you!

Ranger picked out a great available spot for my 20 foot van, nice and level.

Newly cut down dead trees stacked every where. The cutting went on during the day. Few sites open due to hazardous trees. Site selection made by on site ranger, not your choice.

The museum was closed at the time but we had so much fun walking the trails and eating by the fire. Every worker we encountered and asked questions were very informative and helpful! Can’t wait to go back! We stayed in loop c across from the bathrooms and water. Very helpful when my kids have little bladders!

We loved this campground and really appreciated the "pull-though" drive. We found it to be very quiet and, on the days we were there, not crowded. The Ranger talk was fun too.
Can't wait to return to Mr. Rainier National Park - and Cougar Rock.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Not many generators or giant diesel haulers. Relatively peaceful

We were in Loop A during the last week of the season. It's such a beautiful campground with spacious sites and easy access to the Longmire and Paradise. There were lots of other tenters which gave it an old-time feel.
Nice rangers and volunteers.
