We had two side by side campsites (E15 and 16), big enough for three tents and 9 people. Bathrooms super clean. Checking in was really easy. Highly recommend.

Reservations mean nothing here! We made our reservation months in advance, selecting a site near a restroom because a person in our party has a medical issue. After checking in, we went to our reserved site only to find it occupied. A tent and other items were there, but no people.
We went back to the ranger station, waiting in line again, and the ranger didn't care at all. His solution was for us to find another site. After 45 minutes, we found another. There were few empty sites and none near a restroom. We returned to the ranger station, waiting in line again, to find that the dude had no recollection of our conversation and situation.
Well, we stayed 1 night. It wasn't great as the site wasn't right for us. We noticed that the squatters returned to our reserved site and stayed there likely for free. No one came around to check reservations. So, you make reservations months in advance. Drive the long drive to get there, wait 1.5 hours to enter the park, then find your supposedly reserved site taken and they don't do anything about it.

Very nice campground. We stayed in loop D which doesn’t have bear boxes at each site so just be prepared to leave food in your car. We will definitely be camping here again.

The campground and park employees were excellent. Grounds are well maintained, campers were all very nice and respectful. My only complaint is the reservation system for this campground. I tried to reserve a site online months in advance the day the sites became available to reserve. I tried to do this for several days but there was never a single site available no matter when I checked. How is that possible? I ended up taking a chance and got a first come first serve site. But what is the deal with the online reservations, how come I couldn’t see any open sites at all months in advance? Not even a single night midweek? Something seems wrong, should have asked some people with reservations what they did.

Nice campground conveniently located near the Longmire wilderness information center. Every time I stay there I get a nice site and people are generally quiet and respectful.

Quiet and lovely setting. Hazard trees were removed last year from many sites but that made viewing the night stars easier. The restroom was very clean and rangers at check-in friendly and informative.

Great campsite #6. Even though it was a crowded campground there was privacy and well spaced spots. Nice trees and boulders through out.
