What Guests Are Saying
Lower Falls Campground features spacious, well-maintained campsites with ample shade and beautiful riverside views, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The breathtaking nearby waterfalls and numerous hiking trails enhance the camping experience, although the campground lacks adequate water stations and has issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment, helpful camp hosts, and the opportunity to disconnect from technology in a picturesque setting.

The location is beautiful. Road to get there is a little rough in spots. Bathrooms are gross, i knew it was vault toilets only and parks staffing is low but we were all hesitant to use them in their conditions.

Sites were large and well separated. Only 3 complaints from our group (of 14) were the gnats, no water pump on the lower loop, and access to the lower area of the falls. None were a big deal, and would not stop me from going again.

Beautiful area, great trail system off the campsite to explore the Lewis River. We will be back!

The campsites were big and somewhat secluded and the waterfall and swimming area were unbelievably beautiful.
But the campground was pretty much left unattended during our 3 night stay. There was no host around, the bathrooms were unbearably disgusting with no water, only one spigot in the whole campground...when we arrived someone was camping in our spot and did not want to move.
I will avoid recreation.gov campgrounds and probably just stick with state park camping in the future.
