What Guests Are Saying
Lower Falls Campground features spacious, well-maintained campsites with ample shade and beautiful riverside views, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The breathtaking nearby waterfalls and numerous hiking trails enhance the camping experience, although the campground lacks adequate water stations and has issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment, helpful camp hosts, and the opportunity to disconnect from technology in a picturesque setting.

Campsites were great, a lot of space between and the hiking around the falls is stunning. The camp host did not have firewood though (late May) so bring your own!

The facilities were fine enough and the site itself is nice. However, we were not forewarned that they do not sell firewood at the campsite like others in the Gifford area (that we are used too). We purposely did not purchase any because of the message stating you cannot bring any from outside the area. Typically this would not be a big deal but the closest place that sold firewood was 45 minutes away. Be forewarned that they close at 5, which we also were not aware of until we drove all the way out there (arriving at 6).

Never could contact the camp host for firewood. The campsite next to us had their German Shepard off leash and it would run at us growling and barking as we went to the facilities. Loved the site, just wish it was managed better.

Gave my money back after I requested cause of fire! Extremely happy they understood people’s worry.

Beautiful area. The falls are cold but best to be seen up close. Gotta see in person to fully appreciate.

What a beautiful place, the campground was well kept, and the hiking trails are very nice. I wish humans were not so trashy, everywhere I look, there is toilet paper and human feces. Dogs, please keep your humans on a leash, and pick up after them!

The campground was clean and very quiet. We had never camped at Lower Falls CG so when we made our reservations online, we didn’t know what to expect of our campsite. Upon arrival, we were very pleased at the privacy of our campsite due to the heavily wooded area. And most of the campsites have a good distance between each other adding to the feeling of privacy. I suspect this campground gets heavy use during peak season, but it didn’t seem “beat down” or overused. Nice hiking trails all around the area. A good positive experience...we hope to return someday.
