What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Great site and easy to get to from Denver. The tent sites and RV sites are separated a bit. The tent sites each have a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the site, but it is worth it. Each site feels secluded. The campsite host this year was very friendly and welcoming. There are two great hikes just down the road from the campsite entrance.

We enjoyed our stay at Gore Creek. The camp host was very helpful. The toilets were clean. It is a beautiful setting especially near the creek and convenient due to proximity to Vail.

We have always loved these sites in the Mountains by the Creek. Easy to get around in the area. Nice hiking right at campground.
The sites are large and private. Always great informative hosts.

Doug and Avar are the best campground hosts that I have ever experienced. They were available for campers to ask questions all the time. There was no sign on the door like other hosts have put up on the door. The bathrooms were the cleanest pit toilets that I have ever experienced. The sites were raked when we arrived. The trail to our tent site was raked. And they were extremely approachable and friendly. I have been camping at this campground for twenty years and they are the best ever hosts.

Site 19 is great. It is a walk in site but feels very cozy. You see site 18 but they are far enough away to still feel cozy and alone in your site. I highly recommend it. This campground is very close to Denver and the hosts were great. Pit toilet bathrooms were very clean as well as the sites.
