Great Campground. Site A003 is the site to get. It's large, and has plenty of open space for stargazing
My only gripe, there aren't any facilities to wash dishes, and the water station is for drinking water only. So bring extra water, if you need to do any washing up.

This national park is easy to access, small to mid-size camper/RV friendly, hiking opportunities, friendly and helpful Park staff, great ranger programs, and absolutely beautiful views of Colorado's grand canyon. I would highly recommend even if just for a day drive

The campsites are easily accessible and very clean. A very nice 1 mile trail to the visitors center along the canyon rim is a big bonus. The nearby amphitheater had an evening ranger-led program which was very entertaining. Be aware there's no cell service or wifi so plan accordingly.

Very peaceful campsite. Bathroom didn’t have sinks but to be expected.

Besides the one RV that decided to keep its’ stupidly bright LED outdoor lights on until like 10:30p, in a DARK SKY PARK, everything else was fine. Spot A9 had more room than most other spots seemed to have. Pit toilets and no running water. A more “rustic” NP campground compared to others.

The site host was a great resource for this first-timer - she was incredibly helpful and recommended a bunch of good stuff to see and do. Pit toilets were clean, and having the ability to get water was a great plus.

Black Canyon campground was a beautiful campground. We stayed on site 6 in loop A with our pop-up camper. This site was near the pit toilets which were kept clean.
We didn't have any problems with wildlife while camping here.
Be aware it is hot during the day but cools off greatly at night just like many other higher elevation areas in the western states.
There was an nighttime astrology event at the amphitheater while we were there. The telescope images were amazing as were the two men from the nearby city who presented and explained what we were seeing. They had an excellent presentation!
My entire family with kids age ranging from 11-19 enjoyed this park.

We had so much fun! Beautiful views and the night sky is incredible. The only slight issue was our bear box at our campsite was broken.

Very peaceful campground. Primitive with only pit toilets and no sinks, but the restrooms are cleaned diligently everyday, and water spigots are available. Black Canyon is rugged and wild; don’t expect any luxuries!
