The views were breathtaking, very underrated park. I’m surprised there wasn’t more foot and vehicle traffic.
My only wish was that the visitor center had been open an hour earlier or later so that I could have stopped in.

It was nice having electrical hookups at campsites as remote as these. The sites can be uneven making leveling a challenge. The sites are quite narrow so your motorhome may be partially on the the drive. The campground was quiet. Overall a good experience.

Aside from the Covid protocols, unseasonable heat, wildfire smoke and yellowjackets, it was a fine trip. Rangers were very helpful, walks out to awesome views were splendid. The smoke did make for colorful sunsets. At night the skies were clear and the milky way was shining bright! Enjoyed the Geology Ranger walk and the night sky astronomy program. The trail along the Gunnison River at Mesa Creek in Curecanti was gorgeous; do not miss this if you visit! We camped at South Rim loop B, very nice. We would have brought more water if we had known about the water restrictions in advance. Maybe NPS can add that to the "Alerts in Effect" website page? All in all a great visit.

Really great campground! You're close to people but there are a lot of shrubs in between sites so you feel like you have space. The bathrooms were vaulted but always clean + very accessible. No showers but we knew that going in! Very helpful rangers at the park who helped us pick hikes. Stars were unreal at night. Would definitely come back here again!

Pictures don't do any justice. Must be seen in person. Trails were great, the campsites were nice and tidy.

Beautiful area with many trails of varying difficulty. Campground was decent. Spaces are close together, but it seems half of the people didn't keep their reservations, so it wasn't a big deal. Worst thing was the yellow jackets! 😕 it was really hard to enjoy any daylight hours in the campsite.
