Wonderful site w picnic table and firepit. Plenty of space for my pop up and sun.
The stars at night are mind boggling. And free!
Great place to set up for 2-3 nights

Campground is well maintained. There is running water for drinking use only (they have to lug it up from the nearest town so please conserve!) There are outhouse style portapotties, but no other amenities

A lot of old grumpy retirees. They called the ranger 3 times because my kids were playing on their scooters. Wow. So funny how you can be in such a beautiful place in the world and be so miserable. Hope I don’t end up like a grumpy retiree. Lots of bees so bring some spray.

I ended up enjoying the park, then leaving as the tent site I was given had no flat spot for a tent. If the picnic table was movable I could have mustered a flat spot.

The North Rim was gorgeous- especially the hike out to Exclamation Point. We were fortunate to get a backcountry permit for the Gunnison Route (south rim) - which was crazy hard, but beautiful. The campground was surprisingly private and very quiet. A great national park!!!

Never got to see the canyon. The tiny camping sites where infested with swarms of hornets. Couldn’t cook or even sit outside without having hornets all over you. Website said dogs could hike trails if on leash but there was only 2 short trails you could take them on. My dog, my husband and myself all got stung by hornets.

Excellent! We loved our site which was pretty private. The park itself is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.
