Sites were clean, but the restroom facilities were mostly out of TP. I even saw people bringing their own to the bathroom. There were 2 different host sites and an additional location management site. The campground was mostly vacant, so there was really no excuse for restroom neglect. I’ve stayed here for years, even when busy, and it was never this neglected. the signage on sites was also not updated. there were sites whose tags were a week behind.

The lake is wicked low so it is easy to put a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard in BUT it is very muddy on the shoreline. Be careful for you might sink in the mud. We saw a Great Blue Heron land on top of a tree. Upon investigating we saw its nest way up in a swaying pine tree sitting on eggs we assume. It was pretty cool!
Great bike /walking path, all paved. Takes you into Dillion proper and is pretty easy to get around. It also takes you all around the lake. Plan on doing that at least once while you are there.

Beautiful place. Water was turned off during our stay, unfortunately. Dump is at Breckenridge about 5 miles away. Very clean and well cared for. Cell service is excellent.

The water was turned off due to it being tested, so you may need to bring your own. The water in the lake also appeared to be turned off, as the level was very low. Some campsite which are usually within view of the lake had no lake view, or it was a much longer walk than usual to the water. When I opened my camper door in the morning, there was a moose about 5 feet away, so use caution, especially if you have dogs! Bathroom doors in my loop were messed up - one wouldn't lock at all, the other one stayed locked the entire weekend. Surrounding mountains were still snowcapped, which made for a beautiful setting and it was for the most part very quiet. This campground is popular with families, so the child noise was prevalent. This site is a little rustic, but overall nice. It does back up to the tent camping loop and the weekend I was there, there was a lot of activity there.
