Clean, well-managed campground. The campground host (Dena from Tennessee) and her co-host appeared every morning and afternoon on their golf cart, friendly, helpful and busy with their maintenance duties, which they performed efficiently, every day we were there. It would be helpful to learn the water level of the Dillon Reservoir -- it was so low that it made finding a place to launch our canoe quite difficult. Is there a site we can learn this for future camping trips? Thank you.

Solid 4 stars. If i could it would be 4.5 stars. We were in the E loop. An extra pit toilet on the back side of E near site 66 would be nice. It's a bit of a walk to the single or double pit toilet from site 66. Restrooms were clean.
They need better access to the water for other sites that are not on the water. We had people walking through our site while trying to relax setting off our dogs while we were at our campsite.
Road noise...yes there is road noise from hwy70 but it becomes white noise after awhile.
Overall great campground and I would definitely come back. Camp hosts were great.

I can't speak for every site at this campground but out loop (B) and our site was not to pleasant. The trees on our site were not mature and therefore offered zero shade - not really the fault of the campground but something to consider. Each site does have a large bear box - ours was directly in the sun which just meant going through ice like crazy and a warm dry food box. The site also has a fire pit and picnic table and bathrooms, trash, and water source within walking distance. The site itself was not prepped well. The ground was full of large boulders, holes and over grown by weeds. Half of the fire pit area was covered with high grasses/weeds and therefore not usable. This condition meant finding a spot for a tent was really choosing which boulders to sleep on. In addition, all the holes around the site caused a lot of falls from my kids. Lastly, our loop had pit toilets, which is fine. Not my ideal when I'm paying for a campsite but we made it work. The pros of the location - it's close to dillon res, literally just a short walk to the water - it's close to stores, so if you forget something or need to grab some groceries that's super easy (which is why we chose this campground), the sites (although overgrown) are clean. There might be some other campsites that are better suited for our setup, but site 15 was a bust.

Very clean, well managed campground. Always a pleasure to visit here. I wish it was easier for instate residents to get sites during the summer season.
