What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

Clean and well maintained campground. No shade due to the nature of the land and rock. Very convenient to the towns of Frisco and Dillion. Was able to access a full water and dump station at the Upper Blue Sanitation District approximately 9 miles from the campsite. Frisco has a delightful main street for shopping and dining.

The camp hosts this year are the best we have had at Peak one. We have come to peak one for the last 8 years and continue to rate it at one of our favorite campgrounds!

Great view of mountains and access to the lake. Fairly private area if you set up right. Bathroom is a 2 minute walk and super clean! Hosts were friendly and accommodating. I had appointments at the hospital and it was super close and convenient! Quiet at night. This site has a fire pit with grill on the pit, but no separate standing grill (other sites have one). During fire bans, you would certainly need a portable grill. There is a picnic table as well.

Lovely location, friendly and helpful hosts.
Only disappointments are driveway/ camper parking on this lot (66) is not flat, sloped heavily on each side, so that it’s difficult to level and have a car alongside. It would also help to reset the fire pit.

Be aware that Loop A has a very narrow road which makes backing a trailer into a spot difficult or maybe impossible. Site 7 was impossible for us to get our 25' bumper pull trailer into. Great single track bike trails as well as a great paved bike trail nearby. The lake is beautiful too, of course.

The campsite was clean and large. The only downside was the noise from the Highway. It was not so noticeable during the day, but seemed very loud as the rest of the campground quieted down for the night and went on all night.

The woman host was helpful and pleasant. Her husband was unsociable and crabby. He's definitely in the wrong job- he has no people skills.

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
