What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Great camp sites. They are very large and with great views of the lake. The only problem I saw is the shower facilities which are very hot with little to no air flow in them making a shower very uncomfortable

We love Petersburg. From Petersburg we like to make day trips to other places for other activities - Elijah Clark State Park, Mistletoe State Park, Rocky Branch Golf Course, and the Bartram Trail. And, if you need to make a trip to a grocery store - Publix in only about 10 minutes away.

The campground is beautiful and our favorite place to be. We stayed on site 2. The view is gorgeous and it’s in a quiet cove. The negative is the site holds water when it rains and becomes very muddy!
