What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Gorgeous! Loved the Pipiwai trail and O'heo Gulch a well as shoreline trail. Ranger at Visitor's Center spent a lot of time with our 6 year old before and after trail. He became a Junior Ranger- very cool experience for him/us! Only negative were the inordinate number of flies in compost toilets. Toilets at visitor center were great though!

Grassy field with lots of space for tents. The toilet is sufficient enough for a few nights, water is available at the visitor's office, 10 min walk.

Great campsite, one of the most beautiful that I have ever been to! I had a spot #14 and I was truly satisfied, close to the ocean but calm

Great spot, wonderful views. One thing that they don't really say in the reservation process but you have to buy a park pass in addition to the camping fee.

Caution - 9, 10,11, 20, 21 are in trade wind flow of toilet smells. 10 and 11 may be unbearable. 9, 20, 21 are tolerable.
20, 21 you cannot drive all the way up to. Can drive up to 9, 10, 11
Barbecues are great, just burn them clean. Bring extra charcoal and lighter fluid as everything can be damp.
Hard to collect dry wood.
No sandy beach access. Some dangerous ocean cliffs.
No running water.
Handful of awesome ocean side sites if you are lucky enough to book one. You will need to carry your gear over though.
Zero cell service on our Verizon iPhones
Hike is OK, but kind of sucks now because they blocked the end of the trail and don't let you get to the bottom of the falls.

This spot was amazing! We got there in the evening and the view was incredible! There were almost no bug issues, we were prepared for lots of mosquitoes. Nice light midnight rains…don’t ever forget your rain fly! And the morning sunrise was definitely my family picture for the trip! Enjoy!! It’s gorgeous!!
