What Guests Are Saying
Holter Lake Campground offers beautiful, well-maintained sites with friendly and helpful staff, providing stunning views of the lake and various recreational activities like fishing and boating. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness, convenient boat launch, and the inviting atmosphere created by fellow campers. However, issues such as noise disturbances, reservation challenges, and limited amenities like electricity and dump stations have been noted, particularly during busy weekends.

I stayed in #7… my favorite spot! Great shade!! Beautiful campground! Clean well
Maintained by Host Mike and Tasha. Two near by small towns short drive for ice, fishing license and food. Spot 7 has the best shade Lakeside. There is several fresh water areas throughout the campground. Dogs are allowed in the water, outside the beach area. Great areas for dogs. Parking lot has extra spots designated for camping, all seemed nice #36 great shade. Clean maintained sand beach with covered picnic tables. Clean water and beautiful views. Bathrooms and garage available. Plenty of parking with overflow parking. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s a very nice campground. The spots are pretty tight and not easy to get into if you have a big rig.

We usually enjoy our visit, but we had 7 dogs around us one bunch’s dogs. We’re good on the other side every time we moved they were barking at us! Plus the guy had a old huge generator that he ran all day on our side of the camp I finally ask the wife if they were ever going to shut it off if not then please move it to their own side, later the husband came right into our camp call me names and threaten to kick my husbands ass! Their should be a limit on how many dogs are allowed in each camp,it is getting out of hand with dogs! People were also letting their dogs swim in the beach area even thou it is marked, dogs with no leashes was quite common!

The only problem I saw was host not around much. Lots of dogs running loose. Running out of toilet paper in the outhouse. Fish cleaning station not open. Other than that I had a great time

Very hard to make reservations, must dpits are taken Thur -sun, so u can only camp mon-thu, which is hard if u work an kids are out if school, plus blacktop was an option an now it’s reservations only, having log gulch closed makes it even harder, so most campers are going other places, sad cause we like Holter but hard to get I !! Sad you can’t get help to open a campground when it could be used an you are losing funds to camp!! Hope it opens next year!! Trying to make a reservations in Jan for summer is a nightmare, but I guess it’s life!!
