I was here in January, it was wonderful that it was open and had spaces easily available.
There is a not a path the bathroom. You have to walk through a camp space to get to it. That is kind of awkward.
During my visit only out door showers were available and they were closed.
I enjoyed the area, and it was nice being so close to the beach.

The campground was great. It was the unexpected cold & windy weather that made it challenging! But the location was convenient, the beach was solitary and beautiful, and nature activities were plentiful. I hope to come back in a calmer time.😀

I have always loved this place!
I did have an issue this trip which may keep me away. Coyotes. My dog needed to go out around midnight, we were staying on B loop, when we reached the side near the dunes , a pack of coyotes started howling and yipping. They were running along the top of the dunes. Very worried about them coming down into the campground.

I had a great stay at Oregon Inlet Campground. A bit of a walk to get to the restrooms from Loop A, but I didn't want to pay the extra fee to tent camp in an RV site. There were very few people camping, which made for a nice, quiet weekend getaway. I was lucky to have a site with very few sandspurs. A caution if you are bringing pets - there are a LOT of sandspurs (at least in Loop A); I had to stop constantly to pull them off my dog's paws on a quick walk around the loop. I would bring paw protection for pets. Overall, a nice, affordable stay on the outerbanks. I will be back.

Very nice campground, beach is wonderful, camp host and family very nice, bathroom nice considering its winter. Only downside is the sand spurs. They are everywhere, Shoes, trailer, pups paws. and they hurt. Otherwise very nice, close to nags head for shopping, dump station across the street and easily accessible. Just those sand spurs, ugg:)
