This campground is such a beautiful place to stay! Our family of 5 enjoyed our site right in the heart of the Chisos mountains! Very glad we got to camp here. This site (#50) was pretty small. Our 8 person tent barely fit, but we made it work. We stayed 4 nights in November and the first night it rained all night!! Vibrant, Mexican jay’s out each morning were so beautiful! We brought charcoal for the grill, so we could roast marshmallows for s’mores each night. I enjoyed being close to the restroom which has a separate dishwashing station that is very convenient. Very short drive to the Visitor center and camp store to get ice, souvenirs, info from park rangers. Also just a couple minutes of driving to get to the Lost Mine Trail which is very nice! Get there before 8:30am to get a parking spot! The park hosts were friendly and very helpful! I definitely want to come back to this campground and stay another time!!

Facilities were clean. The shade provided by the shelter at the site was very welcome. Our site was very close to the bathroom but I was never bothered by any noises in the evening. This campground is close to trailheads for great hikes

Honestly site #8 is kinda lame. No good views of the surrounding mountains. Kind of a far walk to the restrooms too. And large lumpy rocks under the tent. Nothing "wrong" with the site, but I woul like stay in a site that has better views, like #57!! That's where i stayed the next night and it was waaaaay prettier :)

Site #57 is so pretty! The view I got stepping out of my tent every morning was insane. There's a small hill (very small) that you need to walk up and down to bring the camping gear in, but it was no big deal for me. The ground was smooth so no lumpy tent floor. Close-ish to the restrooms. Didn't mind the walk at all. Would stay again.

Beautiful area The star at night are spectacular. Bring enough cushion for tent sleeping at Chisos Basin the ground is unforgiving. Will most definitely go again.

Nice site. Big enough to comfortably fit a 2.5 person tent.
