What Guests Are Saying
Green Ridge campground offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, with clean facilities, helpful camp hosts, and great access to Shadow Mountain Lake and nearby trails. While some sites are close together, leading to a lack of privacy, and issues with tree trimming and parking have been noted, the overall experience remains positive. Campers appreciate the well-maintained bathrooms, though some flush toilets were out of service during certain stays, and many guests express a desire to return for the beautiful surroundings and recreational opportunities.

Had a great site. Enjoy how close it is to go launch our kayak. Campground and restrooms very clean. But most impressive, the best camp hosts I think we ever experienced.

Extremely well kept campsite. Beautiful views. Super helpful caretaker/host on site with firewood available for purchase. Very clean bathrooms.

It was so quiet and well kept. Our camp host was super friendly and very helpful! We plan to continue coming to Shadow Mountain than Granby. Much quieter!

We stayed 6/5/21, site 004 Loop A. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful, and the camp hosts are wonderful. However, this is not a spacious campsite. Sites are packed in very closely together, there are no trees or anything to provide privacy between neighbors. This site had a ton of mosquitoes, although we were never bitten they hung in the air in front of us while we sat, which was menacing. Our neighbors left their 45 quart cooler outside of their tent all night which was totally cool. Just kidding, please don’t do that. Overall we will not return, Arapaho Bay is very close and better in many levels.

This was the cleanest, well-maintained campground I have ever seen. The campground hosts were so friendly, and work their tails off! Sites were really nice, and even the bear-proof storage lockers were clean.

Very nice place to go camping. We were close to the restrooms. Also fire wood was sold at the campsite which was nice. Make sure to have heaters if you are tent camping!!! I camped in May. Also there’s a lot to see, access to go walking and trails.

Visited May 2021: this year's hosts were SUPER friendly and helpful. You could tell they worked hard and took pride in making sure all guests felt welcomed, comfortable and safe, and that the spaces were clean and prepped for each new guest. They bathrooms were very clean and well stocked at all times (vault and flush toilets). We stayed in the 1-41 A loop and the trees were great - nice shade, birds and chipmunks. We arrived on Saturday and the noise level was very low, then nonexistent Sunday-our departure Tuesday. I hope these hosts are back next year when we return!

The location is great as it’s next to a pretty lake. It’s also very close to trail ridge road and Rocky Mountain national park. But the reason I’m giving such a poor review is because the bathrooms were closed for the season. The campsites are also small and very close together. There were tons of young people staying up late and being loud, which didn’t bother us. Just an FYI. Also, you are required to purchase a day pass to stay in the park, but the machine to buy the pass was so far away from the campsite and difficult to find.
