What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We had an amazing experience. Spot 84 has a beautiful view and very easy access to the lake. I would definitely stay there again & recommend to anyone in the area.

I made my reservation about 14 days in advance and arrived at my campsite and found there was no picnic table. The picnic table had been put on the site next to mine, and never moved back. I was informed by the lady, Brenda, I think her name is, that I had to move it back myself. Six days without a picnic table and constantly harassed by this lady about not using the one next-door. Also was harassed about having my potty tent and being told they weren’t allowed however, there was no rules stating that I felt very uncomfortable there , and because I’ve heard the harassment from Brenda or Beverly, I will not be returning.

Had a very good view of the lake and not too far from the boat ramp. Site was clean and well maintained. Will visit again.

Beautiful campground. Campsites are very spacious and well kept. Definitely a wilderness feel to each campsite. Bathhouses are also well maintained and located in several areas of the campground. Will be making a return trip to this campground in the future.
