What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We loved Petersburg. Most sites are very large with plenty of 'distance' between sites....and of course having a water view is so relaxing!

We enjoyed the stay very much, the site was spectacular, the lake is beautiful and the water was very clean.
Site was spacious and plenty of space between. Visited the Dam and that was amazing.

The most relaxing part of our trip by far. Peaceful quiet friendly clean. We kept adding another day every time we could. We had to move but each site was beautiful and spacious.

Great campsite right on the water with plenty of privacy. Clean bathhouse and lovely grounds. The only complaint was out of anyone's control. The lake level was profoundly low so no water recreation was possible.

Repeat visitor to Petersburg! Always clean, adequate and clean restroom facilities. Beautiful lake views. Close to Bartram Trail for hiking and biking. Also close to Forks Area Trail System (15 minutes). The campground is also close enough to stores/restaurants to grab supplies/groceries or to grab a bite to eat if you need to.
