What Guests Are Saying
Smokemont Campground offers a clean and tranquil setting with ample space, a nearby stream, and access to numerous hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the wildlife, including elk sightings, and the helpful staff. While some amenities like showers are lacking, the overall experience is positive, with a focus on nature and a peaceful atmosphere. However, campsite proximity and occasional noise from fellow campers can be drawbacks.

Beautiful spot. Gorgeous river and nice hiking trail right in the campground. Convenient firewood and ice available for purchase in the campground saves time and is very helpful

I visit Smokey camp grounds every year because it's allergy season, hot and flat where I'm from. I mostly walk around in the trails and soak in the rivers which is great for inflammation. Lots of history to see.

Camp check is n staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms need updating, but clean. Internal bathroom lighting placed on timers would make campsites close less bright.
