What Guests Are Saying
Smokemont Campground offers a clean and tranquil setting with ample space, a nearby stream, and access to numerous hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the wildlife, including elk sightings, and the helpful staff. While some amenities like showers are lacking, the overall experience is positive, with a focus on nature and a peaceful atmosphere. However, campsite proximity and occasional noise from fellow campers can be drawbacks.

Level campsites. Very busy campground but quiet except for family weekends.

The wooded surroundings and the stream running through the campground make this a most enjoyable place to relax. There are a couple of trails that are worth the time to explore, providing a deeper connection to nature.
We spent two nights here in mid-October. The evenings were cool, but not cold.

Would have been great except that the trails were so poorly marked we spent 4 1/2 Hours on a hike we didn't plan for. PLEASE work on the trail signs.

Very well-maintained campground. Definitely go down the road to the horse stables and check it out.

This is the 2nd time I stayed in this campground. In general, it is pretty good, but I wish to see some improvement in future. 5G or LTE is needed. Need shower rooms. Some sites are not leveled.
